Strain Review: ICE CREAM CAKE

Leafly states that it’s, “bred by Seed Junky Genetics, Ice Cream Cake is an Indica-dominant cross of Wedding Cake and Gelato #33. Completely flushed with icy trichomes, the buds express light green coloration with dark purple hues throughout. Ice Cream Cake maintains a creamy flavor profile with sweet hints of vanilla and sugary dough. Effects come on heavily, leaving you completely relaxed with a good night’s sleep soon to follow”.

Now for my review…

For me, this strain was pretty medium-heavy, but not overwhelming. I felt a body low (relaxed, not sleepy) followed with a clear and relaxed mind. It gave me slight sleepiness but not too much. This strain was really nice at the end of the day to unwind and destress. It left my thoughts a lot more carefree about all of the stresses that may have occurred previously that day. The scent of the flower is sweet on the front end and a bit cheesy and earthy when inhaling more deeply. The color of the flower was super green and frosty. The flavor was creamy, lightly sweet and a little spicy on the backend when taking monster rips which I believe comes more from the Gelato #33. It’s also an Indica 75%/ Sativa 25% hybrid so beware of smoking this during the day unless you’re a big indica fan like myself.

Overall I rate this strain 10/10 purely because it’s a strain I can have any time of the day. Now obviously that doesn’t always happen but I can promise you that’s how I’ll be spending my next Sunday.
